It is still used in traditional Chinese and Indian medecines and in the West for its anti-oxydant proprieties. It is a good ally against stress and infammations. Turmeric is earthy and slightly acrid, it has warm and aromatic flavours with a bitter undertone.

Applications : its principal place is in curries and curry powders.
